Meath Comhairle na nÓg, the Youth Council for County Meath, will host its AGM in Trim GAA Club on 6th October from 9.30a.m. – 3.00p.m. This interactive event gives young people in Meath an opportunity to meet with their peers and discuss issues important to them. Elections will also be held for young people interested in joining Meath Comhairle na nÓg.

As part of the AGM, the young members of Meath Comhairle na nÓg will launch their ‘ Let’s Go Mental’ event. Let’s Go Mental is a nationwide campaign to promote positive mental health in young people. This campaign has been developed by teenagers for teenagers and involves a series of 31 events in every local authority to promote positive mental health through music, sport, the arts and other fun activities.

Meath Comhairle na nÓg’s Let’s Go Mental event is based on the five-a-day for youmeathcomhairlenanog2014AGMr mental health and interactive, fun workshops will be run throughout the day based on the themes of: Connect, Get Moving, Get Involved, Be Aware, Give.

Young people attending will have the opportunity to explore positive actions for mental health and discover supports and services for young people in Meath. Let’s Go Mental is part of Meath Positive Health Week, 2015.
