Motion
“To facilitate community lead CCTV schemes, the Council calls on the Minister for Justice and Equality to assign the role of Data Controller from the Chief Executives of the local authorities to an appropriate member of An Garda Siochána in each area.”

The motion was proposed by Councillor Sharon Keogan and seconded by Councillor Trevor Golden. The Chief Executive advised that the motion should be amended to say Council rather than ‘Chief Executives of the local authorities. The amendment was agreed by the Technical Group and the motion was adopted.
